Education and participation package
Service description
The benefits of the education and participation package are intended to enable children, teenagers and young adults to take part in various activities at school and in their free time.
The prerequisite is that one of the following benefits is received for the respective child:
- Basic income support for jobseekers (benefits according to SGB II)
- Basic income support in old age, in the event of reduced earning capacity or other social assistance benefits (benefits in accordance with SGB XII)
- Benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act (AsylbLG)
- Child supplement
- Housing benefit and child benefit
The following services are financed under the appropriate conditions:
- Help for learning support
- Opportunities to participate in social and cultural life (guided activities in the areas of sport, culture, leisure)
- a subsidy for communal lunches at daycare centers and schools
- Daycare and school excursions and school trips lasting several days
- Pupil transportation costs
- Expenses for personal school supplies
