Notes
Department 4.2 Jobcenter - is responsible for calculating and granting benefits in accordance with the Second Book of the German Social Code (SGB II).
Basic income support for jobseekers includes benefits for counseling, ending or reducing the need for assistance, in particular through integration into training or work and securing a livelihood. In addition to the standard benefit and reasonable accommodation costs, additional needs or one-off benefits can be granted. Additional support can be provided for children as part of education and participation.
The department's tasks include supporting people eligible for benefits who are capable of work in taking up or maintaining employment. The aim is primarily to place them in employment in the primary labor market. If this is not directly possible, measures to promote further vocational training, activation measures or other funding instruments can also be used to improve placement opportunities.
The starting point for the assessment and use of the necessary, appropriate and most suitable support options is a recurring analysis of potential in order to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the employable beneficiaries. In order to achieve the goals, integration agreements are concluded between the job center and the beneficiary based on the principle of "support and demand".
