Setting up a no-stopping zone for loading and unloading
Service description
Do you need temporary space for a free access zone, for example for deliveries to a construction site or similar occasions? If no other space is available, you can reserve a designated parking or loading area for this purpose.
To make a reservation, you need an exemption permit, which you can apply for using the online service opposite. Please submit the application at least 14 days before the planned event. A personal visit is not required. If a joint site inspection is necessary, we will arrange an appointment with you.
Legal basis
Regulations of the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), the Road and Paths Act (StWG), the Guidelines for Securing Work Sites on Roads (RSA), the Fee Regulations for Road Traffic Measures (GebOSt) and the Municipal Special Use Statutes.

When must the no-stopping zone be set up?
You or a company commissioned by you must set up the no-stopping zone four days before the planned reservation.How must the no-stopping zone be signposted?
Two portable no-stopping signs must be used to limit the area to be reserved.Additional signs indicating the authorized period, the start and end times and the parking regulations must be clearly visible on the front of the no-stopping signs.
The name, address and telephone number of the authorized persons must be printed on the back of the no-stopping signs.
No stopping signs must comply with the provisions of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) in terms of shape, color and size. The distance from the bottom edge of the sign to the ground must be at least 2 meters for footpaths and 2.20 meters for cycle paths.
