    The term "assistance in other life situations" includes the following assistance in the catalog of social assistance benefits in accordance with the Social Code, Book 12 (SGB XII):

    1. assistance for the continuation of the household

    2. assistance for the elderly

    3. aid for the blind

    4. assistance in other life situations

    5. funeral costs

    The individual forms and documents to be submitted depend on the respective circumstances. The pilgrimage town of Kevelaer, Department of Social Affairs, will inform you individually when you visit them.

    cover special circumstances or qualified emergencies that are caused, for example, by illness or disability. Benefits in accordance with these chapters do not compete with the subsistence benefits in accordance with Book II of the Social Code. In principle, they are therefore also available to the group of people entitled to these benefits.

    The assistance listed above is provided if the beneficiaries, their spouses or partners who are not separated and, if they are minors and unmarried, their parents or one of their parents cannot reasonably be expected to raise the funds from their income and assets.
