Conditional blocking notices according to the Federal Registration Act (BMG)
Service description
Setting up a conditional blocking notice
If persons in
- Hospitals, nursing homes or other facilities that provide care for people in need of care or disabled people or home education,
- Facilities for protection against domestic violence or
- Facilities for the treatment of addictions
are registered as residents, the registration authority will set up a conditional blocking notice (§ 52 BMG) for this person in the registration register.
The registration authority only sets up the conditional blocking notice if it is aware that the person has registered at one of the above-mentioned institutions. In the event that the person has registered in one of the above-mentioned facilities, the facility should inform the registration authority of this.
Setting up a conditional blocking notice means that information from the population register will only be provided if it cannot be ruled out that it will adversely affect interests worthy of protection (with the exception of information from the authorities). The person concerned will be heard by the registration authority before information is provided from the register.
The conditional blocking notice is automatically placed in the address of the respective property when you move or register. No application is required.
