Warning fines and fines for stationary traffic
Service description
Minor administrative offenses, such as stopping and parking violations, are generally punished with a warning for which a fee is charged. As a rule, the traffic warden leaves a ticket behind the windshield wiper of the vehicle concerned, on which all the information about the offense can be seen. The driver concerned then has the opportunity to pay the fine directly.
Objections and questions against the warnings or appeals against fines already imposed can be sent to the fines office, stating the file number/cash reference number:
by post
via online hearings
The online hearing gives you the opportunity to comment on the case online and, for example, state who the driver of the vehicle was at the time of the offense. Even if the vehicle owner was driving themselves, they can comment online and explain the special circumstances, for example. The entries made are transmitted in encrypted form.
This new procedure saves time and costs, as it is no longer necessary to send the statement by post. The information is assigned directly to the correct process via the online procedure, so that no additional work is required in the administration.
Please send general inquiries by e-mail to the central mailbox of the Fines Office: owig@kevelaer.de.
