General grants to youth organizations
All clubs, associations, etc. recognized as eligible for funding receive a grant upon application in each calendar year without any special earmarking. All organizations that are recognized as eligible for support according to § 75 SGB VIII or by the youth welfare committee of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer are considered eligible for support. All members up to and including the age of 18 who are resident in the town of Kevelaer are eligible for support. The subsidy is also paid for members who turn 18 in the financial year.
General grants to the Stadtjugendring
The youth organizations based in the area of the City Youth Welfare Office and recognized in accordance with § 75 SGB VIII, which predominantly look after young people and young adults from the area of responsibility of the City Youth Welfare Office, receive grants via the City Youth Ring each calendar year, which are to be used exclusively for youth care purposes that are otherwise not supported by these guidelines.
Promotion of leisure activities for children and young people
Trips and camps organized by youth welfare organizations with a minimum duration of 4 days and a maximum duration of 21 days are subsidized. Aid is granted to clubs and associations for children and young people aged 6-18 and young adults up to the age of 25 who are still in school or vocational training or have no fixed income.
Applications must be submitted to the Youth Welfare Office of the pilgrimage city by April 1 of each year. The grant will be paid out after completion of the measure. On application, an advance payment of 70% of the expected aid can be made before the start of the measure.
Educational measures in the context of youth work
Grants are awarded for the further training of volunteers in youth work and thus to improve the pedagogical situation in youth groups and in open youth education work.
Funding is provided for educational events for social, cultural and work-related youth work. It also supports the training and further education of volunteers in youth work.
Applications must be submitted by September 30 of each year, together with a preliminary program.
The grant will be paid out after completion of the measure. A program, a list of participants using a form and a statement of the costs incurred must be submitted no later than 6 weeks after completion of the measure. A subsidy will only be granted up to the amount of the total eligible costs.
