Direct debit authorization
Service description
SEPA Core Direct Debit Scheme
A SEPA core direct debit mandate can be issued for regularly recurring debts. These include, for example, property taxes, trade tax, dog tax, parental contributions for the kindergarten and parental contributions for the open all-day school.
If you are unable to allocate direct debits to your account or if you do not agree with a debit via a SEPA core direct debit mandate, please contact the staff at the city treasury. The discrepancies can certainly be resolved and an objection to your bank is no longer necessary. This will save you bank charges.
Hints and tips
If only your bank details have changed, a new SEPA mandate is only required for trade tax. For all other claims, a notification signed by the debtor is sufficient. This must also be submitted in the original.
What else should I know?
The original SEPA Core Direct Debit Mandate must be submitted to the Kevelaer City Treasury. Unfortunately, SEPA core direct debit mandates sent to the Kevelaer City Treasury by email, fax or copy cannot be accepted.
The Stadtkasse Kevelaer is guided by the same collection agreements of all banks and savings banks, according to which a mandate sent exclusively by electronic means is considered unauthorized.
Deadline
In principle, you are entitled to object to a SEPA direct debit for up to eight weeks from the date of the debit.
