The business development department is part of the Kevelaer Marketing department. Its aim is to market the potential of the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer and to create optimal framework conditions for new and existing companies.

As part of its diverse range of tasks, the Economic Development Agency is a driving force, moderator and promoter in all matters relating to improving the economic, social and infrastructure of the pilgrimage town and works closely with local players from the worlds of business, trade and pilgrimage. Creating a business-friendly environment is at the forefront of the economic development agency's work.

In this context, the city management is particularly concerned with retail, gastronomy and store management in the city center and supports the city stakeholders in this regard. This area also includes the creation and expansion of tourist offers for visitors to the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer.
