On January 1, 2026, NiersEnergie GmbH will reduce the electricity price for all NiersStrom tariffs. From this date, the working price for household and commercial electricity tariffs will be 32.96 cents/kWh (gross). The basic price remains unchanged at 149.94 euros per year (gross). The prices for heat pump electricity and heat storage electricity will also fall from next year. All current tariff details are available on our website. A 3-person household with an average annual consumption of 3,000 kWh will save around 118 euros per year thanks to the new prices.
"We are delighted that we will be able to reduce electricity prices in the coming year. Lower procurement costs and reduced grid fees make it possible to pass this relief on directly to our customers. A reliable, fair and sustainable supply remains our aim, now and in the future," says Hendrik Kruß, Head of the Service and Transport Department at Stadtwerke Kevelaer. He adds: "As before, with NiersStrom you will receive 100% electricity from hydropower and thus rely on a climate-friendly, renewable energy source."
The new individual budget billing amounts are based on the upcoming 2025 annual consumption bill. For this, NiersEnergie requires the meter readings as of December 31, 2025, which customers can submit as usual with the meter reading card, which will be sent out around mid-December. The annual bill will be sent out at the end of January - together with the personal budget billing plan for 2026.
If you have any questions about the new prices, NiersEnergie staff will be happy to answer them by telephone on 02832 9313-39, by e-mail or in person at the water tower on Kroatenstraße.
