The Youth Welfare Committee is the heart of municipal youth welfare - and therefore an important part of the Youth Welfare Office. It deals with all issues that affect young people and families in Kevelaer: from support services and leisure activities to new ideas for strong local youth welfare.
Following the city council elections on September 14, 2025, a new youth welfare committee will be formed. In addition to members from politics and administration, this committee also includes six voting representatives from independent youth welfare organizations - i.e. people from associations, clubs or organizations that are committed to children, young people and families.
And this is where you come in!
All recognized independent youth welfare organizations can nominate suitable people. Some associations have already been informed by e-mail - however, if your association has not yet received notification, please contact us by October 24, 2025 at the latest.
Important: The persons nominated must live in Kevelaer and have the right to stand for election.
Join us in shaping the future of youth welfare in Kevelaer - committed, creative and with heart!
