On Saturday, November 8, 2025, the new Youth and Administration Center (JVZ) at Kroatenstraße 85 will open its doors. Between 10:30 and 16:00, all citizens are cordially invited to discover the modern building, get to know people and celebrate together!
A place for encounters, advice and participation
The JVZ brings together different areas of work under one roof. Whether it's the Kompass youth center, the youth employment agency or other facilities: There is space here for exchange, support and joint creation. Visitors can get an idea of the diversity of commitment and cooperation in Kevelaer.
Ceremony, program and hands-on activities
The ceremonial opening will take place at 10:30 a.m. with the symbolic handover of the keys and the blessing - accompanied by music from the clarinet ensemble of the Kleve district music schools under the direction of Wolfgang Güdden.
Afterwards, guests can look forward to a varied program with tours of the building, presentations of the work areas, hands-on activities in the youth center, cafeteria and wheel of fortune. The architecture firm Michael van Ooyen from Straelen will also be on site to provide exciting insights into the planning and construction of the new building.
The proceeds from the cafeteria will be donated to a good cause with a focus on young people - a sign of the community spirit that characterizes the new center.
Shaping the future together
"We are looking forward to a lively day with many encounters and interested guests," says Mayor Dr. Dominik Pichler. "The new building stands for openness, cooperation and commitment - a place where new opportunities are created."
