From Monday, May 26, 2025, digital passport photo capture will be available at the Kevelaer Citizens' Office. Bundesdruckerei has given the final technical approval for the new recording systems - so nothing stands in the way of their use.
Citizens can now have their passport photo, signature and fingerprints taken directly on site. The complete digital service costs 6.00 euros and is available for applying for ID cards and passports.
It is then no longer necessary to bring a photo with you - but it can still be used if required, e.g. when using a third-party provider. An exemplary list of certified photo studios can be viewed at https://alfo-passbild.com/.
The team at the Citizens' Office will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
