Reiner Op de Hipt is the new city manager

The pilgrimage town of Kevelaer is delighted to welcome its new city manager. Reiner Op de Hipt, who was born in Kevelaer, has over 20 years of experience in city administration and will now be responsible for the further development and revitalization of the city centre.

Mr. Op de Hipt completed his training as an administrative assistant at the Kevelaer city administration from 2004 to 2007 and also successfully completed the administrative course II in 2011. He then completed a part-time business administration course in which he examined the cooperation and common issues between the various stakeholders in the city center. His education and training as well as his understanding of local conditions make him an ideal candidate for the position of City Manager.

Reiner Op de Hipt has held various positions in his career at the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer. He began as a clerk in the "Economic Youth Welfare" department and worked in this role until 2019. He then moved to the "Unemployment Benefit II" department, where he worked until 2020. Most recently, he was employed as a clerk in the "Building Regulations" department.

"We are convinced that Mr. Op de Hipt will make a valuable contribution to the development of our city centre with his experience and commitment," says Mayor Dr. Pichler. "I am delighted that Mr. Op de Hipt is now a member of our business development team. "

"I am looking forward to working on the future of Kevelaer together with the citizens and stakeholders in the city center," says Reiner Op de Hipt.

In addition to Mr. Op de Hipt, there will soon be a new face in business development. Daniela Cox will take up her position as the new business development manager and head of Kevelaer Marketing on October 1.
