Climate protection prize 2025

This year, the Climate Protection Prize will once again be awarded in Kevelaer together with Westenergie. Citizens, associations, companies, initiatives or project groups from Kevelaer can apply with projects and campaigns for climate and environmental protection until September 14, 2025.

Which projects can be submitted?

Projects can be submitted that

  • benefit climate protection or environmental protection
  • implemented locally and on a voluntary basis.

Examples:

  • Action days such as collecting garbage together
  • Repair and upcycling of old items
  • Creating colorful habitats for animals and people, such as natural gardens or flower strips


The three best projects in Kevelaer will receive prize money of €500, €750 and €1,250.

All other participants will receive a sustainable non-cash prize.

Projects can be submitted from May 15, 2025 until September 14, 2025.

Only projects that have been implemented by September 14 or are in the process of being implemented at that time will be considered. Please note the conditions of participation.
